lot of new stuff. The new stuff starts now...

Pretty Good Solitaire version 12.0 is a free update for those who originally
ordered versions 10 and 11 in 2005 to 2007, or those who paid for an
upgrade during that time. However, it is not a free upgrade for those who
originally ordered version 9 or earlier.
The quick way to determine whether version 12 is a free upgrade for you is
to look at your registration code. If your registration code starts with "24",
"2p", or "2m", the upgrade is free and your registration code will work in
version 12. Otherwise, you will need to upgrade to play version 12. If your
registration code starts with "22" or "2u", version 11 was a free upgrade
but version 12 is not.
Full details on upgrading are at http://www.goodsol.com/upgrade.html .
Upgrades are still only US$11.95. Note that we always keep older versions
available at http://www.goodsol.com/downloadpre.html for those who
prefer not to upgrade.
If you qualify for a free upgrade, your registration code will work in the
new version. Normally Pretty Good Solitaire should register itself if it
finds a registered copy of one of these older versions. If not and you have
lost your code, you can request that your registration code be sent to you
again from http://www.goodsol.com/regusers.html .
Pretty Good Solitaire version 12.0 is US$24.95, plus an optional
$7.50 shipping for a CD-ROM. In addition to installing the basic game, the
CD-ROM also installs all of the currently available extra card sets.
You can order online from http://www.goodsol.com/orderonline.html .
Phone and mail order options are also available from that page. For those
who purchase for the first time now or upgrade, you get free upgrades
through the 2010 version.

New Card Set - Medieval Card Set
A new card set, the Medieval Card Set, is now available. This card set
features images from the Middle Ages. The Medieval Card Set can be
downloaded from http://www.goodsol.com/pgs/cardsets.html .
There are two versions of this card set, one for the new Pretty Good
Solitaire version 12 and one for older versions of Pretty Good Solitaire and
our other games. Both versions of the card set will actually work in all
versions of Pretty Good Solitaire (version 8 and above), but if you have
downloaded the new version 12 you should download the card set for
version 12 as it contains detailed images for all 5 card sizes for version 12.
The card set download for earlier versions is smaller as the 2 larger sizes
are not needed.
Over the past few years we've had a large number of requests for a Mac
version of Pretty Good Solitaire. I'm happy to say that it is now nearly
here. Pretty Good Solitaire Mac Edition will be released very soon (in fact,
we would have released it already except Apple released Mac OS X
Leopard and we need to do more testing to make sure the game works
well on Leopard).
The first version of Pretty Good Solitaire Mac Edition will contain only 30
games, but we plan to add new games very quickly. For those of you with
Macs that run Mac OS X, I think you'll find it as good on a Mac as the
Windows version is on Windows. We'll have updates on our blog at
http://www.asharewarelife.com on the progress of the new Mac version
(not to mention other news and cat pictures).
