New Action Solitaire Version

A major new version of Action Solitaire is now available. Version 0.94 of Action Solitaire adds a major new feature - the ability for registered users to submit scores to the new Action Solitaire scores web site at <http://scores.actionsol.com>.  The web site updates immediately with your scores when you submit.

Action Solitaire is a collection of 23 solitaire games that are played in a new way. Unlike regular solitaire, Action Solitaire is played for points against the clock in timed rounds.

In the new version, while playing a game, the end of round screen will have a new button that says "online".  If you click on this button, you will be able to retrieve the high scores of the game you are playing and see how your current score ranks.  At the end of the game, you can then submit your score to the scores web site.

You can also click on the new button on the main screen for "High Scores".  From here you will be able to submit your high scores to the web site.  You can also click a button to view the high scores on the web site (all this requires an active internet connection, of course).

The high scores web site at <http://scores.actionsol.com> has two scores lists for each game.  The Recent Scores list shows the 100 most recently submitted scores listed in order by score.  The All Scores lists shows the 1000 highest scores for that game.  These two lists mean that even if your score isn't one of the highest scores for that game, you'll still make the recent scores list while your score is one of the 100 most recently submitted scores. Only registered users of Action Solitaire can submit their scores, but everyone can view them.

We hope you'll find this new online feature a major improvement to Action Solitaire.  It adds a competitive element to the game where you can now complete against other players for scores. Pretty Good Solitaire and Pretty Good MahJongg players take note - we will be adding similar immediate update high scores in next year's new versions.
