Pretty Good MahJongg, our companion game to Pretty Good Solitaire, has updated to version 2.70 (for Windows). This version adds 10 new tile matching layouts to bring the total to 355. It also contains 55 solitaire games with MahJongg tiles, for a total of 410 games. While this update is only for Windows, the Mac version will also be updating soon.

This is a free update for all registered users of Pretty Good MahJongg - just download the trial version and use your registration code to make it the full version (it will find your code automatically if you have the full version installed already).

Pretty Good MahJongg is solitaire with MahJongg tiles instead of playing cards. It features the classic MahJongg tile matching solitaire game, where tiles are removed in pairs, and original MahJongg solitaire games such as MahJongg Spider, MahJongg Klondike, and MahJongg FreeCell.

FEATURED GAME - GREAT WALL

Great Wall is one of the solitaire games in Pretty Good MahJongg. It is easy and fast to play.

The game starts with 96 MahJongg tiles of 4 different tile types (colors). The object is to remove all the tiles from the wall.

You play by removing identical tiles (same color) that have a common edge (are adjacent). The common edge can be any edge (vertical or horizontal but not diagonal) and the group can have two or more tiles and be of any shape.

When a group of tiles is removed, tiles will first drop down in columns to fill any spaces created, and then entire columns slide left to fill any completely empty spaces. This is very much like the game Tetris.

To select a group of tiles, click on any tile in the group. To remove a selected group of tiles, click on a tile again. To quickly remove a group, double click or right click on a tile in the group.

When there are no move available groups to remove, you will have the option to Undo, Restart, or Shuffle, except the game is lost if there is a unique tile on the board resulting from all other like tiles being removed. In this situation the game can still be played for a higher score as long as there are matching groups of other tiles available. However, there are no shuffles allowed in this situation and, if the board is stuck (with no matches), the game is automatically lost and you will not have the opportunity to undo.
