A new version of Most Popular Solitaire for Mac is now available. This version is updated to run on macOS Catalina without having to lower the default security settings.

If you have a previous version installed, just go to the Internet menu in the game, select "Download Latest Version" and you will be able to download the new version. Everyone who intends to update to the new macOS Catalina version should update.

All of our Mac games will be updating in the near future for Catalina (except for Pretty Good Solitaire and FreeCell Plus, which recently updated and are ready for Catalina). The Windows version of Most Popular Solitaire has not updated since this is a Mac only issue, but the Windows version can also be downloaded from https://www.goodsol.com/mps .

FEATURED GAME - CADRAN

Cadran is a two deck game very much like Forty Thieves.

There are eight foundation piles, which are to be built up in suit from Ace to King as usual. The game is won when all of the cards are moved here.

At the start of the game, four cards are dealt face up to ten tableau piles. These piles are built down in suit. Only one card at a time may be moved. Spaces may be filled by any card.

The remainder of the cards form a stock. This is dealt one card at a time to a waste pile. The waste pile is different from Forty Thieves in that all of the cards in the waste pile are visible. This makes Cadran a somewhat easier game than Forty Thieves in that you can see what cards are buried in the waste.

Nevertheless an average player wins only about 12-15% of the game, so the game is still hard. But much better scores are possible.
