Pretty Good MahJongg 2

Pretty Good MahJongg has a major update!  Pretty Good MahJongg is a huge update to our mahjongg solitaire game.  Pretty Good MahJongg is a collection of 55 mahjongg solitaire and puzzle games, and 160 layouts for the classic tile matching game.

In the two years since the release of version 1, we've been collecting suggestions from players and thinking about how to improve Pretty Good MahJongg. We'd like to make Pretty Good MahJongg the premiere collection of solitaire games with mahjongg tiles in the same way that Pretty Good Solitaire is the leading game with solitaire card games.

Version 2 brings us a long way towards that goal.  First, we have improved the graphics to make the tile sharper and clearer.  Then we worked on making the tile matching games easier to play by adding new options.  The depth shading option makes it easy to what level each tile is on.  The color highlighting option highlights in color the tiles that are available to be matched, making it much easier to see the possible matches.  And, of course, the tile matching games have our right click hint feature where if you right click on a tile it will highlight any matches for that tile.

Then we added over 100 new tile matching layouts to bring the total number of layouts to 160.  There are even some layouts with as many as 576 tiles, instead of the previous limit of 144.  And in the registered version, you can create your own tile matching layouts with the layout editor.

And then we added nearly 30 new solitaire and puzzle games.  The new games include mahjongg tile classics such as Four Rivers (Shisen-Sho) and MahJongg Stones.  Great Wall is a fun game where you remove matching adjacent tiles and the wall of tiles moves down.  And there are lots of variations on these games that make them harder or easier.  If you get stuck, remember to just right click whenever you need a hint.

You can now submit your scores to our high score web site.  A new style of play, Climb Mode, is similar to Tours or Quests in Pretty Good Solitaire in that you can play a series of games to try to get a high score.
